Polyfoam XPS embraces theme of connection in return to Futurebuild

Following a successful exhibition in 2025, Polyfoam XPS will be at Futurebuild once again in 2026.

The Hartlepool-based manufacturer of extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation will have a stand at the event, which takes place on the 12^th, 13^th and 14^th May. This year, Futurebuild is co-located with UK Construction Week, creating an even more compelling proposition for construction professionals visiting ExCel in London.

Members of the Polyfoam XPS team will be available across all three days, ready to discuss product features and project specifications. They can be found on stand H57.

“The theme of Futurebuild in 2026 is connection, which couldn’t be more apt for us,” said Phil Hodges, National Sales Manager at Polyfoam XPS. “The last twelve months have seen us focus on engagement and collaboration. Perhaps our proudest achievement was supporting two different projects in getting existing XPS material recycled, even though we otherwise had no direct involvement in the construction work.”

Among other areas of ‘connection’ that the company explored in 2025 was:

• launching a ‘back to basics’ series of blog posts (such as one about thermal insulation);
• celebrating fifty issues of e-newsletter The Build-Up;
• supporting the company’s local area by supplying insulation to Hartlepool’s new leisure development; and
• looking at how product manufacturers can support through all stages of design and construction.

In January this year, Polyfoam XPS published the Polyfoam XPS Orange Book Guide to XPS Insulation. Futurebuild marks a public launch of sorts for the document, being the first time copies will be widely available to a general audience.

“It isn’t always possible for designers, specifiers or installers to search our blog post archive for information they need,” said Rob Firman, Technical and Specification Manager at Polyfoam XPS. “The Polyfoam Orange Book of XPS Insulation has been designed to capture and distil our expertise in a single source, and provide an accessible reference for readers with any level of knowledge about XPS. We look forward to connecting more people with the book at Futurebuild.”

Both Phil Hodges and Rob Firman will be at Futurebuild to discuss any of the above and more, and they are keen to share useful insights that specifiers can action in their projects. Joining Phil and Rob is Gary Ferguson, Business Development Manager North and Scotland, and Polyfoam XPS’s General Manager, David Bowden.
