POLYFOAM XPS aims to make an impact by returning to Futurebuild
Polyfoam XPS, the Hartlepool-based manufacturer of extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation, is once again exhibiting at Futurebuild. Having first exhibited in 2023, the company is pleased to be returning to the event and sharing its latest developments with the sustainability-conscious audience.
The 2025 edition of Futurebuild takes place from March 4th to 6th at ExCel in London, and the Polyfoam XPS stand is located in the Building/Circular Materials area. Team members will be available across all three days, ready to discuss product features and project specifications.
“We’re proud to support Futurebuild as it celebrates twenty years of sharing knowledge and inspiring the built environment to push the boundaries of sustainability,” said Phil Hodges, National Sales Manager at Polyfoam XPS.
He continued: “Polyfoam XPS has seen significant growth in the last couple of years, underpinned by our relaunched website and our new production line. As a result, we’re keen to play our part at Futurebuild and engage with longstanding industry colleagues and new faces alike.”
The theme of Futurebuild in 2025 is ‘impact’. In particular, the impact the event has had in promoting innovation in the name of achieving greater sustainability.
“Everybody knows thermal insulation products are important for achieving low U-values and energy efficiency targets,” said Rob Firman, Technical and Specification Manager at Polyfoam XPS. “But insulation specification is about much more than that. Product choices don’t just matter in the building’s use phase, they matter at the end-of-life stage too – and it is here that extruded polystyrene has so much to offer.”
The compressive strength and moisture resistance of XPS plays a crucial role in delivering thermal bridging details that are capable of helping a building to meet the Passivhaus standard. Those same qualities mean it can also be used to make buildings more adaptable, or to improve the likelihood of material recovery for reuse or recycling.
Both Phil Hodges and Rob Firman will be on hand at the event to discuss more about these subjects and share useful insights that specifiers can action in their projects. Alongside Phil and Rob will be Gary Ferguson, Business Development Manager North and Scotland, Ken Chapman, Business Development Manager South and Polyfoam XPS’s new General Manager, David Bowden.
