The thermal conductivity of the Polyfoam Floorboard Super range is 0.034 to 0.036W/mK


Polyfoam Floorboard Super is rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) board with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 5 and Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). They are square edged boards that have very high compressive strength.

Polyfoam Floorboard Super is suitable for almost any floor construction including:

  • Below a concrete slab
  • Below a screed
  • Below chipboard


Polyfoam Floorboard Super represents no known threat to the environment and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential and a Global Warming Potential of less than five. Polyfoam Floorboard Super is non bio-degradable and 100% recyclable.


The continuous service temperature limits of Polyfoam Floorboard Super is up to +70º C.

Compressive strength

Polyfoam Floorboard Super is highly resistant to compression and withstand both occasional and long term static loads. Load bearing construction elements should be designed to adequately support the combination of imposed and dead loads without creating excessive deflection

Vapour resistivity

Polyfoam Floorboard Super – 750MNs/g.m when tested in accordance with EN 12086.

Moisture absorption

Polyfoam Floorboard Super has a moisture absorption of 0.6% by volume when tested in accordance with EN 12087.

Moisture resistance

Polyfoam Floorboard Super is resistant to moisture absorption and can be laid in standing water or up against wet concrete with negligible impact on the performance of the product as determined by testing to EN 12087.

Handling and storage

Polyfoam Floorboard Super is lightweight and easy to handle and install, is supplied in four sided packaging designed to be easily recognised and are labelled with identifying product and manufacturing data. Ensure the boards are not stored close to open flames or other ignition sources and avoid volatile organic compounds and chemicals such as solvents.

Polyfoam Floorboard Super should not be left exposed to prolonged sunlight as this will result in surface degradation. When outside storage for extended periods is required cover the products with opaque/light coloured sheeting.
